It’s August and here at Surfdome we have a massive ‘X’ drawn on our calendars: it’s time for Boardmasters 2015! Yes, we headed down to the Cornish coast for a weekend of surf, music and sunshine, (check out our full round-up here).
Apart from scouting out some new music, we were also on the hunt for the most stylish festival-goers. While Wellington boots are a festival staple, we were lucky enough to swap ours for flip flops and hi-tops as the sun came out to play.
Flowers, glitter and plaits dominated the scene at Boardmasters. Bohemian-style playsuits, kimonos and Bardot tops were the main uniform of choice for girls, from the likes of Roxy and Billabong. Others chose black denim and monochrome prints with flannel shirts round the waist from the likes of Volcom and Amuse Society.
For the guys it was about embracing that quintessential surf style. From classic brands like Quiksilver, to representing newer brands like Deus Ex Machina, surf style stood out against the backdrop of Watergate Bay. Skate and street style were also dominant, from Nike SB to Adidas and DC.
Boardmasters style was all about adding a classic surf twist to that standard festival style, from the shores of Fistral beach to the main arena.
Don’t forget to check out our Festival Daze Collection if you’re heading to the rest of the summer’s festivals…
